Westside Youth, Inc. was established in 1977 as a boxing club. We are located in the small farming community of Mendota, California in the heart of the beautiful San Joaquin Valley. In the years of community service to Mendota, Westside Youth, Inc. has expanded its programs to include education, social development, technology, career development and training, along with the recreational activities.
Westside Youth, Inc. has been recognized by local, county, state and national organizations for outstanding commitment to enhancing the quality of life for the members of this rural, predominately Hispanic community. Through positive collaborations with the City of Mendota, Mendota Unified School District, Healthy Start Program, Fresno County Sheriff's Department and other service organizations. Westside Youth, Inc.has affected Mendota, statistically ranked as the 4th poorest city in the state of California. All programs are free to participants.
